The Tran family name appeared in Vietnam since it is not clear, but in history there have been many Vietnamese people with the surname Tran since before those with the Chinese surname Tran migrated. Typical like Man Thien (real name is Tran Thi Doan) mother of Hai Ba Trung, who participated in the uprising of the two women in 40 AD.
